Ball Joint: Testing and Inspection
Upper
1.
Raise and support front of vehicle.
2.
Position front wheels in a straight ahead position, then depress and hold brake pedal.
3.
Move wheel up and down, then check ball joint play.
4.
Maximum vertical play should not exceed .091 inch.
