The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. PRECAUTION

CAUTION: Be sure to read "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing  (See: Air Bag Systems/Service Precautions).

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working.

3. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal)

4. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM LH

5. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK HINGE COVER
6. REMOVE REAR SEAT BACK HINGE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
7. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY LH (See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Seat

Assembly/Removal)

8. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal)

9. REMOVE REAR AIRBAG SENSOR LH

(a) Disconnect the connector from the rear airbag sensor LH.

(b) Remove the nut and the rear airbag sensor LH.
