Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair
Removal

2ZR-FE FUEL: FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR: REMOVAL

1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

(a) Discharge fuel system pressure    See: Service Precautions.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

3. REMOVE FUEL SUCTION TUBE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the fuel suction tube assembly from the fuel tank assembly    See: Fuel Pump/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal.

4. DRAIN FUEL

5. REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY   See: Fuel Tank/Fuel Gauge Sender/Service and Repair/Removal

6. REMOVE FUEL PUMP

(a) Disconnect the wire harness connector.

NOTICE:
Do not damage the wire harness.

(b) Disconnect the connector of the fuel pump harness.

(c) Disconnect the fuel pump filter hose.

(d) Remove the E-ring and separate the 2 claws, then remove the fuel pump sub-tank.

NOTICE:
Do not separate the tube indicated in the illustration    See: Service Precautions.

(e) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 fuel suction support.
