Removal

C59 MANUAL TRANSMISSION / TRANSAXLE: SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard

2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

3. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard /

4. REMOVE FRONT UPPER CONSOLE BOX   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

5. REMOVE NO. 2 SWITCH HOLE BASE   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

6. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET

7. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Removal and

8. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX INSERT   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

9. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

10. REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument

11. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the control select cable from the shift lever assembly.

(b) Disconnect the control shift cable from the shift lever assembly.

(c) Using a screwdriver, pull out the stopper of the transmission control cable.

NOTICE:
Do not remove the stopper. If it is removed, reinstall it to its original position.
