Fluid - M/T: Service and Repair

1. HOW TO REPLACE TRANSAXLE OIL

a. Remove the drain plug and drain the oil.
b. Reinstall drain plug securely.

Torque:  500 kg-cm (36 ft-lb, 49 N-m)

c. Add new oil until it begins to run out of the filler hole.

(S54:  5S-FE)

ATF:  DEXRON(R) II
Capacity:  2.6 liters (2.7 US qts, 2.3 Imp. qts)

(E153:  3S-GTE)

Oil:  Transaxle oil E50 (08885-80206) or equivalent
Capacity:  4.2 liters (4.4 US qts, 3.7 Imp. qts)

2. HOW TO CHECK TRANSAXLE OIL

a. Remove the filler plug and check transaxle oil level. If the level is lower, add transaxle oil until it begins to run out of the filler hole.
b. After checking, reinstall the filler plug securely.

Torque:  500 kg-cm (36 ft-lb, 49 N-m)
