b. Check continuity is not present between terminals 3 and 5.
c. If continuity checks are not as specified, replace relay.

6. Check No. 3 fan relay operation as follows:

a. Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 2.
b. Ensure continuity exists between terminals 3 and 5.
c. If relay does not perform as specified, replace relay.
