(a) Loosen the idler pulley bolt, push it left as far as it will go and temporarily tighten it.
(b) Remove the belt.

12. Remove idler pulley and tension spring.

Remove the bolt, pulley and tension spring.

13. Remove crankshaft timing pulley.

NOTE:  If the pulley is difficult to remove by hand, remove using SST 09950-20017.

14. Remove oil cooler hose.
15. (A/T vehicle) Disconnect A/T throttle cable.
16. Disconnect accelerator cable.

17. (w/Cruise control) Disconnect cruise control cable,  accelerator rod, and remove the three bolts and accelerator link.
18. Remove PCV hose.
19. Remove cylinder head covers.

(a) Disconnect the following wires:

-

Engine compartment cooling fan motor connector.
