Hot Idle Compensator (Non Comp. Controlled): Description and Operation

This system is used on various models from 1978-82. Basic systems consist of a HIC valve, a check valve (in most cases), and an intake manifold
tap. The HIC valve admits a controlled amount of air to the intake manifold to maintain proper air/fuel mixture ratio at high temperature idle.
