TITLE     TAILGATE MOVEMENT/RATTLE ON '89 PICKUP TRUCKS

To minimize side-to-side tailgate movement on 1989 model year pickups, a production change has been made to the tailgate hinge collar as of January,
1989. Three collars (3 different sizes) are now available as replacement parts.

Also, to reduce rattle from the tailgate stays, a new tailgate stay stopper is now available.
PRODUCTION EFFECTIVE:
All pickups with prod. date of Jan. 1989 and later have the new parts.

PART NUMBER INFORMATION:
INTERCHANGEABILITY:
Parts are interchangeable on 1989 and later model year pickups. The new hinge assembly used in production should only be replaced in the event of
body damage, theft or corrosion.
