Oil Pan: Service and Repair
1. Obtain audio anti-theft code, if equipped, as outlined in Technician Safety Information.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove engine undercover.
3. Drain engine oil.
4. Remove front cross-member
5. Remove pan bolts and nuts.
6. Using seal cutter tool No. 09032-00100, or equivalent, remove oil pan from engine block. Ensure to not damage oil pan flange.
7. Remove all remaining seal material from mating surfaces of pan and engine block.
8. Install new seal No. 08826-00080, or equivalent, to oil pan.
9. Remove oil strainer, oil baffle plate, then the oil pump.
10. Reverse procedure to install. Reset audio coded anti-theft system, if equipped, as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
