Fast Idle Speed

1.

Stop engine and remove the air cleaner.

2.

Plug off hoses as necessary to prevent vacuum leaks.

3.

Disconnect the hoses from the EGR valve and choke pull-off.

4.

Set the fast idle cam by holding the throttle slightly open, pushing the choke valve fully closed and releasing the throttle valve, Fig. 72.

5.

Start the engine without depressing the accelerator pedal.

6.

Set the fast idle speed to 3000 rpm by turning adjusting screw, Fig. 72.
