Clutch Pedal Assembly: Adjustments

On 1982-86 models, check clutch pedal height, Fig. 3. Clutch pedal height should be 5.94 inch on 1982-84 models and 5.67 inch on 1985-86
models.

On 1987-88 models, check clutch pedal height, Fig. 3. Clutch pedal height should be 6.122 inch.

If specified height is not as specified, loosen locknut, then rotate adjusting bolt until specified height is obtained. Tighten locknut.

Check clutch pedal freeplay, Fig. 3. Depress clutch pedal until resistance is felt, then measure freeplay distance. Freeplay should be .20-.59 inch.

5.

Check clutch cylinder pushrod play at top of pedal. Play should be .039-.197 inch.

6.

If clutch pedal freeplay is not as specified, loosen locknut, then rotate pushrod adjusting screw until specified freeplay is obtained.

7.

Tighten locknut, then recheck pedal height.
