FRONT SEAT COVERS TEARING ON PREVIA

To increase the durability of lower seat cushion material (fabric) on the front seats on
Previas, the following countermeasures have been implemented.

PRODUCTION COUNTERMEASURE:

The plastic retainer designed to provide form to the lower seat cushion has been modified in the following ways:

(1)

The top corners of the retainer have been cut with a 12 mm radius (old radius = 5 mm).
A rounding treatment has also been added to the cut surfaces.

(2)

Strong cotton cloth has been added between the plastic retainer and the seat material.
This will distribute the stress more evenly on the seat material. (See figure 1)
