Water Pump: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect heater and radiator hoses.
3. Remove oil filter bracket.
4. Disconnect water pump hose.

5. Remove water pump attaching bolts, then remove, Fig. 32.
6. Reverse to install. Torque water pump retaining bolts as shown in Fig. 33:

a. Three A bolts: 15 ft. lbs.
b. Three B bolts: 21 ft. lbs.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL WATER PUMP

(a) Install new 0-rings into the grooves of timing chain case.
