REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHTS 
Remove two nuts on each combination light as shown in Figure 2, then disconnect the wire harness connectors.

REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT GARNISH 
Remove four nuts and the license plate light, then disconnect the wire harness connector.

5.

CUT LICENSE PLATE LIGHT GARNISH

(a)

Cut away the upper parts of both ends of the garnish with a file or a grinder as indicated in Figure 3.
NOTE:

DO NOT USE PLIER TYPE CUTTERS.

(b)

Smooth surfaces with wet or dry sand paper (# 400 grit) indicated in Figure 4.

REASSEMBLE REAR LIGHTS 
Check for proper function of lights

REASSEMBLE REAR HATCH TRIM
