Fuel Injector: Service and Repair

REMOVAL:

1. Remove the fuel rail, for the proper procedure refer to FUEL RAIL.
2. Remove the four bolts, injector covers and four insulators.

3. Using Special Service Tools, remove the injector.

INSTALLATION:

1. Lubricate new O-rings with spindle oil or gasoline.
2. Install the new O-rings and insulator to each injector.  Make sure that the O-rings are not twisted or inverted.

3. Push the injector into the fuel rail by hand.

4. Check that each injector connector is properly aligned to the fuel rail as illustrated.
