Control Arm: Service and Repair

1.
Raise and support rear of vehicle and rear axle, using suitable jack stands.
2.
Using tool No. 09751-36011 or equivalent, disconnect brake tube from brake hose.
3.
On models equipped with ABS, remove ABS wire harness bracket.
4.
On all models, disconnect LSPV spring from lower control arm, Fig. 2.
5.
Remove shock absorber lower attaching nut.
6.
Remove lateral control rod attaching nut and bolt, then remove lateral control rod with bushings.
7.
Disconnect parking brake cable from lower control arm.
8.
Lower rear axle assembly, then remove coil spring with upper and lower insulators.
9.
Remove lower control arm attaching nuts and bolts, then remove.
10.
Remove upper control arm attaching nuts and bolts, then remove.
11.
Reverse to install.
