Cleaning The Throttle Body Vacuum Ports

4. Check that there is no clearance between the throttle stop screw and the throttle lever when the throttle valve is fully closed.

5. If a problem is found, adjust the throttle valve closing angle.

NOTE: Do not adjust the throttle valve closing angle if unnecessary.

6. After loosening the lock nut of the throttle stop screw, loosen the stop screw until it touches the lever, then screw it in 1/4 turn more and lock it

with the lock nut.

7. Refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES in COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS and check TPS adjustment.
8. If the throttle valve binds or appears to be bent, replace the Throttle Body.
9. Reinstall the Throttle Body on the engine.  Refer to COMPONENT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR PROCEDURES for proper procedure.
