Alignment: Service and Repair
Front

Camber

Prior to checking and resetting front wheel alignment, check tire pressure to ensure its correct, check wheel bearings for looseness and correct as
necessary and check wheel runout with a dial indicator. Wheel runout should not exceed .039 inch (1.0 mm).
Camber is not adjustable. If camber is not within specifications, check for worn or damaged suspension parts and replace are required.

Toe-In

1.

Rock vehicle up and down to stabilize suspension.

2.

Move vehicle forward about 16.4 ft. (5 m) with front wheels in straight ahead position on a level surface. If vehicle is backed up, move forward
the same distance.

3.

Mark center of each rear tread and measure distance between marks.

4.

Move vehicle forward until marks on rear sides of tires come up to the measuring heights of the gauge on the front side If tire rolls too far, repeat
step 2.

5.

Measure distance between marks on front tires.

6.

If toe-in is not to specifications, adjust as follows:

a.  Remove boot blips.
b.  Loosen tie rod end locknut.
c.  Turn left and right tie rod ends and equal amount.
d.  Ensure lengths of left and right tire rod ends are equal.

Steering Axis Inclination

Steering axis inclination is not adjustable. If steering axis inclination is not within specifications, check for worn or damaged suspension parts and
replace are required.
