INSTALLATION HINT: Do the shift lock pin adjustment in the following procedure.
a. Adjust the pin length by tightening and loosen the nut. The pin should be above or below the shift lever assembly surface within the following
limits.
Pin length:
-
Above surface: 0.3 mm (0.0118 in.) max.

Below surface: 0.7 mm (0.0276 in.) max.
b. Tighten the nut.
Torque: 25 N.m (18 ft. lbs.)
4. Remove No.3 shift lever.
5. Remove control shaft.
6. Remove shifting bellcrank.
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the E-ring.
INSTALLATION HINT: Replace the used E-ring with a new one.
b. Remove the shifting bellcrank and washer.
