Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

REMOVAL 

1. Remove throttle body.
2. Remove idle air control valve.

-

Remove the thermal vacuum valve.

-

Remove the 4 screws, idle air control valve and gasket.

INSTALLATION 

1. Install idle air control valve.

-

Place a new gasket on the throttle body.

-

install the idle air control valve with the 4 screws.

-

Apply adhesive to the threads of the thermal vacuum valve.

Adhesive:  Part No. 08833-00070, THREE BOND 1324 or equivalent 

-

Install the thermal vacuum valve. First temporarily torque the thermal vacuum valve at 12 N.m (9 ft lb)
