Connect the power source terminal of the timing light to terminal 30 of the starter and test probe to the No.1 high-tension cord (light blue).

Check the ignition timing.
Ignition timing: 5° BTDC @ idle
(Transmission in neutral position)

If the ignition timing is not as specified, check the valve timing.

Remove the SST from the DLC1. SST 09843-18020
5. Disconnect tachometer and timing light.
6. Install exhaust pipe heat insulator and ground strap with 3 bolts.
