Alignment: Service and Repair
Preliminary Check
Inspect and repair the following prior to adjusting wheel alignment.
1.
Check tires for wear and proper inflation.
2.
Check front suspension, steering linkage and ball joints for wear or looseness.
3.
Check wheel runout with a dial indicator. Wheel runout should not exceed .039 inch (1.0 mm).
4.
Ensure front shock absorbers are functioning properly.
