Name Plate

Removal

EXTERIOR: NAME PLATE: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

NOTE:  Do not heat the vehicle body, back door outside garnish, emblem, name plate and door mark excessively.
HINT:  When removing the emblem, name plate and door mark, heat the vehicle body, back door outside garnish, emblem, name plate and
door mark using a heat light.

Standard:

1. REMOVE NO. 1 BACK DOOR EMBLEM ASSEMBLY (w/ Tire Carrier)

(a) Put protective tape around the emblem.
(b) Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and emblem.
(c) Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.
(d) Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the emblem to the vehicle body.

NOTE:  Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

(e) Remove the emblem.
