Applicability

Introduction

Some RAV4 vehicles with manual air conditioning Systems may exhibit a condition where the HVAC system intermittently blows warm air from the
vents with the A/C on.

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B1479 (Flow Sensor Circuit) may be stored in the A/C system as a current code. A malfunctioning A/C compressor
flow sensor may cause this condition. Follow the procedure in this TSB to repair the vehicle.

NOTE

Manual A/C Systems do not have the ability to store history DTCs, therefore DTC B1479 may not be present even when the flow sensor is
malfunctioning.

This TSB applies to the following RAV4 vehicles with 2AR-FE engines and Manual Air Conditioning systems:
