SUSPENSION: REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM: REMOVAL
REMOVAL
HINT:

Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
2. DISCONNECT NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY See: Brakes and Traction Control/Parking Brake System/Parking Brake
Cable/Service and Repair/Removal
3. DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE (for 2WD) See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control
Systems/Wheel Speed Sensor/Service and Repair/Skid Control Sensor/Removal
4. DISCONNECT REAR SPEED SENSOR LH (for 4WD)
5. DISCONNECT REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH See: Stabilizer Bar/Service and Repair/Rear Stabilizer Bar/Removal
6. DISCONNECT REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Loosen the bolt from the suspension member side.
NOTE: Do not remove the bolt and nut. Only loosen them.
(b) Support the No. 2 suspension arm LH with a jack.
NOTE: Place a wooden or rubber block between the jack and the arm.
(c) Remove the bolt and nut from the axle carrier side.
(d) Slowly lower the jack, and disconnect the No. 2 suspension arm from the axle carrier.

8. REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING LH See: Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf )/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Coil

9. REMOVE REAR COIL SPRING INSULATOR LOWER LH See: Suspension Spring ( Coil / Leaf )/Service and Repair/Removal and
