REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

CAUTION:  Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt
pretensioner activation. 

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

a. Using a screwdriver, detach the 10 claws and remove the scuff plate. 

HINT:  Tape the screwdriver tip before use. 

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH 

HINT:  Use the same procedures described for the LH side. 

4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

a. Remove the cap nut. 
b. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the trim board. 

HINT:  Tape the screwdriver tip before use. 

5. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH 

HINT:  Use the same procedures described for the LH side. 

6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 
7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH
8. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY  
9. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

10. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER 
11. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL CENTER 
12. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER 
13. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY CENTER
14. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY
