4. Disconnect the No.1 steering column hole cover sub-assembly by removing clip A and detaching clip B from the body.

NOTE

Ensure that clips A and B are NOT damaged.

5. Remove the No. 1 steering column hole cover sub-assembly by removing the clamp and disconnecting the column hole cover from the steering gear.

6. Remove the No.1 steering intermediate shaft.

A. Place matchmarks on the No. 1 steering intermediate shaft and steering gear.

B. Remove the bolt and disconnect the No.1 steering intermediate shaft from the steering gear.
