Removal

HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: FRONT AIR CONDITIONING UNIT: REMOVAL

CAUTION:
Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system

1. TABLE OF BOLT, SCREW AND NUT   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

Repair/Removal

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected    See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning.

3. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Engine Lubrication/Engine Oil/Service and

Repair/Replacement

4. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM   See: Service and Repair

5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for 1UR-FE)   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

6. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for 3UR-FE)   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

7. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for 3UR-FBE)   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

8. REMOVE COOLER REFRIGERANT LIQUID PIPE B
