(d) Check that the lengths of the right and left rack ends are approximately the same.
Standard difference:
0 +/-1 mm (0 +/-0.0394 in.)
(e) Tighten the tie rod end lock nuts.
Torque : 82 Nm (836 kgf-cm, 61 ft-lbf)
(f) Attach the clips to the boots.
HINT
Make sure that the boots are not twisted.
8. PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
9. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ VSC)
NOTICE:
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal for more than 2 seconds.
10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ VSC)
Torque : 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
11. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION (w/ VSC)
(a) Perform the yaw rate sensor zero point calibration See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning.
12. CHECK STEERING ANGLE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION (w/ VSC)
(a) Check the steering angle sensor zero point calibration See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and
Inspection/Diagnostic Trouble Code Tests and Associated Procedures/C Code Charts/C1290.
