Air Bag Deactivation Switch: Service and Repair
Removal

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG CUTOFF SWITCH: REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected    See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning.

2. SEPARATE NO. 1 SWITCH HOLE BASE   See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Trunk / Liftgate/Trunk / Liftgate Switch/Service and

Repair/Power Back Door Main Switch/Removal

3. REMOVE CURTAIN AIRBAG CUTOFF SWITCH

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the switch.
