(d) Place matchmarks on the outboard joint shaft, inner race and cage.

NOTICE:
Do not punch the marks.

(e) Remove the 6 balls.

(f) Slide the cage to the outboard joint side.

(g) Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring.

(h) Using a brass bar and hammer, tap out the inner race.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the inner race.

(i) Remove the cage.

6. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT INBOARD JOINT BOOT

(a) Remove the inboard joint boot from the outboard joint shaft.

7. REMOVE FRONT AXLE NO. 1 OUTBOARD JOINT BOOT SETTING CLAMP

(a) Using a side cutter, cut the No. 1 outboard joint boot setting clamp and remove it.

8. REMOVE FRONT AXLE NO. 2 OUTBOARD JOINT BOOT SETTING CLAMP

(a) Using a side cutter, cut the No. 2 outboard joint boot setting clamp and remove it.

9. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT OUTBOARD JOINT BOOT

(a) Remove the outboard joint boot from the outboard joint shaft.

10. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT DUST COVER
