Introduction

A new hood protector service replacement part is now available for 2001 - 2003 model year Sequoia vehicles. If the original accessory hood protector
needs replacement due to a warrantable concern, replace the hood protector with the revised part.

Applicable Vehicles

2001 - 2003 model year Sequoia vehicles with the Toyota Genuine Accessory Hood Protector.

Repair Procedure

Follow the installation instructions provided with the hood protector kit. It will be necessary to follow the additional instructions below if the vehicle has
an existing hood protector with the outer brackets installed into drill holes (previous P/N PT427-0C010).

For vehicles with drilled outer holes for the hood protector brackets:

A.

Remove the screw from the two outer brackets.

B.

Peel off the brackets and remove the well nuts from the hood. Clean any adhesive residue.

C.

Apply 3M(TM) Ultrapro(TM) Autobody Sealant to the drilled holes. These holes will not be used with the current hood protector hardware
kit.

Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty**:

This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from
the vehicle's in-service date.

**Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
