Introduction

Some customers may experience abnormal squeal noise from the engine accessory drive belt area, usually during cold start-up. An improved accessory
drive belt has been developed to correct this condition.

Applicable Vehicles

2000 - 2005 model year Tundra vehicles equipped with 2UZ-FE engine produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown below.

2001 - 2005 model year Sequoia vehicles equipped with 2UZ-FE engine produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VIN shown below.

Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from
the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Repair Procedure

Replace the accessory drive belt with the improved part.
