UNINTENDED POWER REAR WINDOW ACTIVATION

Introduction

Some owners of 2001 model year Sequoia vehicles may complain of unintended or accidental rear window activation. In order to address these concerns,
new wireless transmitter rear window button tension has been adopted.

Applicable Vehicles

2001 model year Sequoia vehicles produced before the VIN shown below.

Production Change Information

Parts Information

NOTE:

Transmitter appearance and part numbers remain the same as previous. Please verify that the new transmitter's rear window button requires more
effort to actuate than the owner's existing transmitter before programming.

Programming Procedure

Follow the programming procedure in the Repair Manual on pages BE-99 through BE-101.

Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty*
This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from
the vehicle's in-service date.
