Lock Assembly Production Change Effective VINs:

Repair Procedure 1

For vehicles produced BEFORE the Striker Plate Production Change Effective VINs, remove and replace the front striker plate and lock assemblies on
both slide doors.

Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), 2004 model year Sienna Repair Manual:

Engine Hood/door: Slide Door: Adjustment and Overhaul.

Striker Plate Torque: 23 N.m (235 kgf.cm, 17 ft.lbf)

Lock Assembly Torque: 5 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf)

Repair Procedure 2

For vehicles produced AFTER the Striker Plate Production Change Effective VINs and BEFORE the Lock Assembly Production Change Effective
VINs, remove and replace the lock assemblies on both slide doors.
