Blower Motor Resistor: Testing and Inspection
Rear Blower Resistor Manual A/C

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION 

1. INSPECT BLOWER RESISTOR TRANSISTOR ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)

a. Measure resistance between terminals 3 and 4.

Resistance: 2.0 to 2.4 kOhms 

If resistance is not as specified, replace the blower resistor transistor assembly.

b. Inspect blower resistor transistor assembly.

1. Connect the positive (-) lead to terminal 4 through a 12 V to 3.4 W test bulb and negative (-) lead to terminal 2.
2. Check the test bulb lights up when another positive (+) lead is connected to terminal 2 through a 12 V to 3.4 W test bulb.

If operation is not as specified, replace the blower resistor transistor assembly.
