Information Bus: Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes

With Manufacturer's Scan Tool

CHECK DTC 

a. Prepare the intelligent tester.
b. Connect the intelligent tester to DLC3.
c. Turn the ignition switch ON and push the intelligent tester main switch ON.
d. Use the intelligent tester to check the DTCs, note them down (For opening instructions, see the intelligent tester's instruction book.).
e. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART to confirm the details of the DTCs.

Without Scan Tool

TOYOTA does not provide a procedure for Reading Trouble Codes Without Scan Tool.

With Manufacturer's Scan Tool

CLEAR DTC 

a. DTC will be cleared when the malfunction output to DTC is recovered normally.
