Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair

YAW RATE SENSOR

REMOVAL

NOTE:

-

Do not use the yaw rate sensor if it is dropped or damaged.

-

Prevent foreign matter from attaching between the yaw rate sensor bracket and body.

-

Confirm the sensor direction is correct.

1. REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUBASSEMBLY
2. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
3. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY

a. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and yaw rate sensor.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY

a. Install the yaw rate sensor with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 13 N.m (127 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf)

b. Connect the yaw rate sensor connector.

2. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
3. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUBASSEMBLY
4. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/VSC

(Vehicle Stability Control System)/Calibration

5. INSPECT ABS WARNING LIGHT AND VSC WARNING LIGHT
