Using the Diagnostic Tester, clear the stored DTCs.

Seal off the fuel tank vent hose and purge VSV connections at the canister to isolate the canister side.

Rerun the Automatic EVAP System Check.

7.

If DTC P0456 appears in pending again, remove and replace the charcoal canister assembly.

If there are NO pending codes present, the small leak is located on the fuel tank side of the EVAP system and this TSB does NOT apply. Refer to
the Repair Manual for diagnostic information.

8.

After the repair is complete, perform the Automatic EVAP System Check again to confirm there are NO pending DTCs and the system is normal.
