Water Pump: Service and Repair
Installation
3MZ-FE COOLING: WATER PUMP:
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY
(a) Install a new gasket and the water pump with the 4 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)
2. INSTALL TIMING BELT NO.3 COVER

3. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING PULLEY (See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Reassembly)
4. INSTALL NO.2 TIMING BELT IDLER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Torque: 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)
5. INSPECT TIMING BELT

7. INSTALL TIMING BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY (See: Timing Components/Timing Belt/Service and Repair/Installation)

9. INSTALL ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET RH
Torque: 28 Nm (286 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf)
10. INSTALL TIMING BELT NO.2 COVER (See: Timing Components/Timing Belt/Service and Repair/Installation)
11. INSTALL TIMING BELT NO.1 COVER (See: Timing Components/Timing Belt/Service and Repair/Installation)
12. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY (See: Timing Components/Timing Belt/Service and Repair/Installation)
13. INSTALL GENERATOR BRACKET NO.2
Torque: 28 Nm (286 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf)
14. INSTALL ENGINE MOUNTING STAY NO.2 RH (See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation)
15. INSTALL ENGINE MOVING CONTROL ROD (See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Installation)
