Fuel Injector: Service and Repair
Precautions When Working With Fuel injectors

OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING PRECAUTIONS WHEN REMOVING AND INSTALLING THE INJECTORS.

-

Never reuse the O-ring.

-

When placing a new O-ring on the injector, take care not to damage it in any way.

Coat a new O-ring with spindle oil or gasoline before installing-never use engine, gear or brake oil.

Install the injector to the delivery pipe and intake manifold as shown in the illustration.

NOTE: CHECK THAT THERE ARE NO FUEL LEAKS AFTER PERFORMING MAINTENANCE ANYWHERE ON THE FUEL SYSTEM.

1. Using a jumper wire (or SST# 09843-18020), connect terminals +B and FP of the data link connector 1 (DLC1).
