Windshield Washer Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. Inspect intermittent switch operation as follows:

a. Connect battery positive lead to terminal 5 and negative lead to terminal 7, Fig. 24.

Using suitable wire, connect terminals 7 and 8, check continuity between terminals 1 and 5, as shown in Fig. 25.

2. Inspect washer circuit relay as follows:

a. Connect battery positive lead to terminal 5 and negative lead to terminal 7.
b. Check continuity between terminals 1 and 5 as shown in Fig. 26.

c. If operation is not as indicated, replace relay.
