Measure Disk Thickness

DISC THICKNESS

Using a micrometer, measure the disc thickness.

Standard thickness: 25.0 mm (0.984 inch)

Minimum thickness: 23.0 mm (0.906 inch)

If the disc is scored or worn, or if Its thickness is less than the minimum, repair or replace the Disc.

Measure Disc Runout (Part 1 Of 2)

NOTE:  Before measuring the runout, confirm that the front bearing play is within specification.

DISC RUNOUT

1. Using a dial indicator, measure disc runout at a position 10 mm (0.39 inch) from the outer edge of the disc.

Maximum disc runout: 0.07 mm (0.0028 inch)

2. If the disc's runout is maximum value or greater, replace the disc.
