Inspecting Intake & Exhaust Manifolds And Air Intake Chamber

Note:

Before installing intake manifold, make sure the maximum warpage does not exceed 0.10 mm (0.0039 in). If it does, replace the manifold.

1.

Position two new gaskets on the RH and LH cylinder heads.

Install the intake manifold with the twelve bolts and four nuts, and torque to 18 Nm (13 ft lb).

3.

Position a new gasket on the intake manifold for the water-by pass outlet.

4.

Install the water by-pass outlet with the two bolts and torque to 18 Nm (13 ft lb).

5.

Connect the No. 3 water by-pass hose to the No. 1 water by-pass hose.
