Fuel Pressure: Testing and Inspection
SET UP
1. Check that the battery voltage is above 12.0 volts.
2. Disconnect the negative (-) terminal cable from the battery.
3. Place a suitable container or shop rag under the left hand delivery pipe.
4. Slowly loosen the union bolt of the No.3 fuel pipe and remove the union bolt and 2 gaskets from the delivery pipe.
5. Drain fuel in the LH delivery pipe.
6. Install the No.3 fuel pipe and fuel pressure gauge to the LH delivery pipe with new gaskets as shown in the illustration and tighten.
Torque: 34 Nm (25 ft lb).
7. Wipe off any splattered gasoline.
8. Reconnect the battery negative (-) terminal cable.
CHECK FUEL PRESSURE
1. Using jumper, connect terminals FP and +B of the Data Link Connector (DLC) 1.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Measure the fuel pressure.
