T100 Regular Cab Pickup 2WD L4-2693cc 2.7L DOHC MFI (1998)
3. 4WD: Disconnect parking brake cable.
4. Disconnect the rear shock absorber.
Remove the bolt and disconnect the rear shock absorber lower side from the spring seat.
Torque: 26 Nm (19 ft. lbs.).
5. Remove U-bolts.
a. Remove the four U-bolt mounting nuts and washer.
Torque: 132 Nm (97 ft. lbs.)
b. Remove the spring seat and two retainers.
c. Remove the U-bolts.
HINT: Tighten the U-bolts so that the length of all the U-bolts under the spring seat are the same.
6. Remove the rear leaf spring.
a. Remove the hanger pin nut.
Torque: 91 Nm (67 ft. lbs.).
HINT: At the time of installation, after stabilizing the suspension, torque the bolt.
b. Remove the two hanger pin lock bolts.
Torque: 26 Nm (19 ft. lbs.).
c. Remove the nut, washer and 2 bushings.
