a. Remove the four nuts.

Torque: 75 Nm (55 ft. lbs.).  

b. Remove the lower ball joint from the lower suspension arm.

INSPECTION 

1. Inspect the ball joints, as follows:

a. As shown, flip the ball joint stud back and forth five times, before installing the nut.
b. Using a torque wrench, turn the nut continuously one turn each 2 - 4 seconds and take the torque reading on the fifth turn.

Torque (turning): 2.0 - 7.0 Nm (17 - 61 inch lbs.).

INSTALLATION 

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: Check the ABS speed sensor signal and front wheel alignment.
