Front Steering Knuckle: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation

Front Axle - 2 WD

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the front wheel.
2. With Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), disconnect the ABS speed sensor from the steering knuckle.
3. Remove the brake caliper, as follows:

a. Remove the two brake caliper set bolts.
b. Support the brake caliper securely.

4. Check the axle hub bearing backlash, as follows:

a. Remove the cap, cotter pin and lock cap.
