Front Door Window Motor: Testing and Inspection

POWER WINDOW MOTOR INSPECTION

INSPECT MOTOR OPERATION

Driver's Side:

1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and negative (-) lead to terminal 1. Check that the motor turns (moves upward).

2. Reverse the polarity. check that the motor turns the opposite way (moves downward).

If operation is not as specified. replace the motor.

Passenger's Side:

1. Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and negative (-) lead to terminal 1. Check that the motor turns (moves upward).

2. Reverse the polarity. check that the motor turns the opposite way (moves downward).

If operation is not as specified, replace the motor.
